Life of Usman Bilal and Hamza

Hazrat Usman (R.A)

When there were only a few converts of Islam, Hazrat Usman accepted Islam on the invitation of Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A.). He was the husband of Bibi Ruqaya, the daughter of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). The people of Mecca were against Islam so the lives of Muslims were very tough due to their persecution. Some of the Muslims migrated to Abyssinia. Hazrat Usman and Hazrat Bibi Ruqaya, both were part of this migration.  Hazrat Usman participated in the battles except for the Battle of Badr as his wife Ruqaya was ill and she passed away before the return of Muslims from Badr.
After the death of Hazrat Ruqaya, our holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) gave his second daughter in the Nikah of Hazrat Usman. It is because he is known as Zun-Noorain (the possessor of two lights).  Once our Holy Prophet said that “For every Apostle of Allah, there was a constant companion and my companion in paradise will be Usman (R.A)”
After the migration to Medina, Muslims faced difficulty to get drinking water. It was Hazrat Usman who purchased a well from a Jew in 20000 Dirhams and devoted it to the Muslims for free of cost. This well is known as Bi’r-e-Rumah. He also helped the Muslims at different incidents. At the time when Muslims were getting prepared for the battle of Tabuk, he bore the expanses of one-third of the Muslim force. After that our holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said that “Nothing will do any harm to Usman from this day, whatever he does.” Hazrat Usman (R.A) was also chosen to escort the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) at his farewell pilgrimage. Hazrat Usman was also one of the ten blessed companions and also became the third caliph of the Muslims.

Hazrat Bilal bin Ribah (R.A)

The acceptance of Islam by a slave was not at all accepted by the people of Mecca. It was Hazrat Bilal who accepted Islam as a slave of Ummaiyah bin Khalf. After the acceptance of Islam, the persecution of his master increased a lot and he tortured Hazrat Bilal fiercely.  He used to tie Hazrat Bilal on hot sand and placed heavy stones on his chest. Despite all of these persecutions, Hazrat Bilal stood firm on Islam. Hazrat Abu Bakar purchased him from his master and freed just for the cause of Islam. He also took part in all the battles with our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). In the battle of Badr, his ex-master, Ummayah bin Khalf was killed by him. He had the honor to be the first Mouzzan of Islam. He also called the Azan from the roof of the Kaaba. When our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) came back from Mairaj, he informed Hazrat Bilal that I listened to his voice in heaven and saw your footsteps also. Hazrat Bilal passed away in the 18th year of Hijri and buried in Damascus.

Abu Talib

Hazrat Abu Talib was the son of Hazrat Abdul Muttalib and uncle of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). He was that person who took care of his orphan nephew, Muhammad (Peace be upon him) after the death of Hazrat Abdul Muttalib. Hazrat Abu Talib always protected his nephew, Muhammad peace be upon him after the announcement of prophethood. He also spent about three years in Shaib-e-Abi Talib with his nephew, our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). He was the leader protector of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in Mecca who supported him in all the hardships.
