Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit

Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit was the companions of the holy prophet Muhammad who performed the duty to write down the messages revealed on the holy prophet. There were about 40 companions of our holy prophet who wrote down the revealed messages and Hazrat Zaid was also one of them.  
He was very young when he had memorized the 17 chapters of the Holy Quran. He was not allowed to take part in the battle of the Badar because of young age.
On the instructions of our holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him), he learned to read and write. After that our holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him) appointed him to write down the revealed messages.
Another important duty Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit performed is the compilation of the Holy Quran. In the caliphate of Hazrat Abu Bakar, it was decided to compile the holy Quran in the form of a book. A committee was formed under his supervision who verified each and every verse of the Holy Quran while compiling.
In the time of Hazrat Usman, the certified copies of the holy Quran were sent to different regions of the Islamic state. This was also done under the supervision of Hazrat Zaid bin Sabit.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood was one of the earliest converts to Islam. He was one of the closest companions of the holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him). He is known for his love for our holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him). He is the person who has the honor to recite the holy Quran first time in Mecca openly. When he accepted Islam, there were just four or five people who had accepted Islam before him. When asked the holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him) to teach him about Islam, our holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him) politely informed him that you, yourself will be a teacher. He was the person to whom our holy prophet Muhamad (Peace be upon him) said that people should learn the holy Quran from him.
